2013 Registration Opens April 1, 2013

Tigard Youth Football registration is an online process. All children residing in the Tigard High School Boundaries in grades 3 through 8 (entering in the fall of 2013) are eligable to play. Players are not accepted as official registrants until registration is paid in full. Both the registration fees and the refundable equipment deposit are due at the time of registration.

Early registration will run from April 1 - May 15, 2013. Late registration will run from May 16 - June 15, 2013. The cost to register for the 2013 season will be $245 for early registration on or before May 15, 2013 and $345 if you register after May 15, 2013. There will also be an equipment deposit fee of $25 per player due at the time of registration.

As recognition of the tough economic times, TYF has extended the $100 late fee deadline to June 1, 2013. As a result, there is still time to register for 3rd-8th grade. Please take advantage of this and register soon. Equipment issue is just weeks away!

Who is eligible to play Tigard Youth Football? Anyone 3rd-8th grade residing in the Tigard High School boundaries or attending private school in Tigard (Alberta Rider, Durham and Twality families click here to view the boundary map. Deer Creek Elementary and most of Alberta Rider Elementary are in the boundaries of Tualatin High School).

Sport Physicals - Sunday, May 19, 2013

Tigard High Football is hosting a sports physical day at Tigard High School. For $20 per player your youth or high school athlete can get a sports physical.

Tigard High School Main Gym - Sunday, May 19, 2013

12:00pm - athletes who will be in grades 3, 4, 5 this fall
1:00pm - athletes who will be in grades 6, 7, 8 this fall
2:00pm - athletes who will be in grades 9, 10, 11, 12 this fall

*If you have more than one child in the family, you may come at one time to get physicals completed

You must have your medical release form signed by a doctor before you can received your football equipment.

THS Skills Development Clinics

Offered by the Tigard High School coaching staff these FREE youth clinics are open to all current 2nd-8th grade students in the Tigard community. The clinics are held on Sunday evenings at the THS in either the gymnasium or on the turf (weather dependent). No registration is required.

Below is this year's schedule and the specific times for each grade level:

Sunday's - April 21, 28, May 5, 19 and June 2

Current 2nd-5th grade - 6-7pm
Current 6th-8th grade - 7-8pm

Equipment Issue

Saturday, June 1 | 9:00am-3:00pm
Wednesday, June 5 | 5:30pm-7:30pm
Saturday, August 3 | 9:00am-noon

A parent or legal guardian must accompany all players for equipment issue. All fees must be paid in full and forms must be completed and turned in at this time. Equipment cannot be picked up without the submission of a completed TVYFL Medical Release Form, and the execution of the TVYFL Player Contract. Failure to have all required items will result in ineligibility to receive equipment. It is advised that you wear something light and comfortable, as you will be trying on uniforms and pads. Limited changing areas are available.

After the August 3th equipment issue, all equipment needs will need to be arranged with a coach, who can coordinate with the equipment manager for a mutually agreed upon time. This includes any equipment exchanges.

Note: Each player is issued one set of shoulder pads, one helmet, one pair of practice pants, one pair of game pants, a practice jersey and a mouth guard. You are responsible for cleats, socks, and any extra pads your child may want. An athletic supporter is not required, but advised.

Youth Football Camp

Tigard High School will host its full contact youth football camp August 12th-August 15th from 9-11am. All TYF players are encouraged to attend but registration is open to any football player. Players will practice in full pads. Players will learn Tigard Football techniques, drills and develop individual skills to improve them as football players. This camp is not organized by Tigard Youth Football but is run by the Tigard High School football coaches and raises money for the high school program. Camp does not take the place of evening practices or count towards the 10-hours of conditioning requirements. Download the regiatration form below and mail it into the address listed on the form.

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes early with your player to get them checked in. Cost for the camp is listed below:

April 1 - June 8 - $70
June 9 - August 1 - $75
August 2 - August 12- $80
