Registration Information

Registration for the 2008 season is now open.  Early registration will run from April 1 to May 15, 2008.  Below is the link to register a coach or a player.

Online Registration

Tigard Youth Football registration is an online process.  All children in grades 3 through 8 (entering in the fall of 2008) are eligible to play. Players are not accepted as official registrants until the registration is paid in full.  Both the registration fees and the refundable equipment deposit are due at time of registration. 

Early registration will run from April 1 - May 15, 2008.  Late registration will be from May 16 - June 15, 2008. The cost to register for the 2008 season will be $225 for early registration on or before May 15, 2008 and $325 if you register after May 15, 2008. There will also be an equipment deposit fee of $25 per player due at the time of registration.

Form Requirements

We have streamlined the process so that there are only 3 forms you must complete, sign and bring with you to equipment issue before we can release equipment. They include the Medical Release Form, Parent Expectation Contract, and the Grievance Acknowledgement. We will have the original of the Player's Contract at equipment issue for you to sign, so it is not necessary for you to bring that one also.

Medical Release Form
All players must have a physical to participate in the football program. The league will accept the signed Medical Release form from anyone licensed or approved by the State of Oregon to perform physicals.  Form must be dated after February 1, 2008 (physical may happen prior to the February 1 date) and must be on the Tualatin Valley Youth Football 2008 Medical Release Form. Please also be sure that there is a Parent Signature.

Parent Expectations & Contract
It is every parent’s duty to support Tigard Youth Football and their team. As a member of TYF there is an understanding that at a minimum, one concession stand shift and one other volunteer job per player is expected to be donated. TYF is a completely volunteer organization and cannot operate without the help of all its members. You must sign the Parent Expectation Contract and turn in at equipment issue in order for your child to be eligible to play.

Grievance Policy & Acknowledgement
Tigard Youth Football has strict policies regarding conduct of players, parents, coaches, and board members, which are outlined in the enclosure. Please read and sign the acknowledgment that you understand our position on issues arising from misconduct. The Grievance Form can be found on the Forms Page of this website under Resources

Refund Policy

Refunds will only be made prior to the issue of equipment, and before Official Registration (execution of the Player Contract) is completed. There will be NO REFUNDS after the start of the first day of practices. Refunds made prior to the start of the season will be subject to a $25 processing fee.

Waiting Lists

Registration submissions will be prioritized for acceptance of the player into Tigard Youth Football based on registration/payment date, i.e. a “first come, first served” basis.  Acceptance is based on filling the maximum players per level.  Any registration submissions after the closing registration period will be subject to a non-refundable late fee.

Scholarships

At Tigard Youth Football, we believe is important that every child get a chance to be a part of the program, so to be sure this is possible, TYF has a limited number of scholarships available. They are given out based on need. If you are interested in being considered for a scholarship please email the registrar at registrar@tigardyouthfootball.org or call our hotline number at 503-670-9444.  Deadline to apply for a scholarship for the 2008 season is May 1, 2008. Applicants will be notified of the TYF Board's decision by May 12, 2008.
