Wellnitz Award Winners
This honor is bestowed on head coaches that have displayed good sportsmanship during the season. Because of their example, the players, staff and parents have shown respect of opponents and officials. The coaches that received this award are voted on by the other coaches in their division.
The award was named for Kirk Wellnitz, a member of the Oregon Air Guard, who lost his life while in service to his counrty. His father, Bob Wellnitz, is the Commissioner of the Portland Officials. His continued commitment to the youth in our community is greatly appriciated by the Tualatin Valley Youth Football League.
Tigard Youth Football is proud to congratulate three of our coaches for winning the Wellnitz Award this season. Congratulations to Coach Heyden - 5/6 Black, Coach Crist - JV Green and Coach Jackola - 3/4 Black. You are truly First Class!

This award is meant to recognize an assistant coach who exemplifies the traits Ross brought to his volunteer position.
Once again, we had co-winners for this award. Congratulations to Coach Marc Wade - JV Green and Coach Jim Kelleher - 5/6 Silver. Tigard Youth Football is honored to have you both in our program!
